Arsenal took what was a close and interesting game through the first half-hour and turned it into a massive rout by winning 6-2 at the Emirates over Blackburn Rovers. Steven N’Zonzi and David Dunn both gave Blackburn one-goal leads in that first thirty minutes, but the Gunners equalized behind Thomas Vermaelen and Robin Van Persie. Then the barrage started. Andrei Arshavin, Cesc Fàbregas, Theo Walcott and Niklas Bendtner all poured it on for the home side of the next hour for the final tally of six goals for Arsenal. Fàbregas even assisted on four of the five goals. For the moment, Arsenal have moved all the way up to fourth place, on differential ahead of Liverpool. Blackburn are stuck on seven points through seven and remain in fourteenth.
