Arsenal kept up today with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool with a 1-0 away victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage. Robin Van Persie scored in the 52nd minute from a perfect Cesc Fàbregas pass for the only goal of the game. The Gunners’ young Italian goalkeeper Vito Mannone played a fantastic match and had several brilliant saves against Clint Dempsey and Bobby Zamora. With the full three points Arsenal now have twelve through six matches, one less than the four clubs above them on the table. Fulham on the other hand, continue to struggle to come even close to last season’s strong finish. The Cottagers are in seventeenth place, just two points clear of the relegation line.
