Dino Đulbić (pictured) headed in the game’s only goal in a 1-0 win for Gold Coast United over Melbourne Victory in the first round A-League semi-final at Skilled Park in Robina. The victory sends Gold Coast on to the second semi-final round against Adelaide United at the Hindmarsh Stadium. The loss eliminates Victory from the competition leaving only the Asian Champions League group stage for the Melbourne side this year. A group stage game against Korean side Jeju United on March 15 will begin the next phase of life for Victory.

  1. Thanks for featuring Aussie football Mao! I have no idea about what kind of coverage our league gets overseas (it’s picking up here thankfully, though it’s still the poor cousin of rugby and australian rules). As a Sydneysider it’s a pity FC won’t be there to defend their title so I guess I can only go for Central Coast.
