Ryan Nelsen’s 51st minute goal was cancelled out by Junior Stanislas in the 78th to bring West Ham United back for a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. The match came amid immense speculation that recently sacked Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce would soon be taking over for Avram Grant at West Ham, especially if the Hammers fell meekly to Rovers. Instead the East London side showed some grit and pulled themselves level late on to earn an away point. Blackburn move up to eleventh and the Hammers remain in twentieth while neither side have figured out a resolution to their managing questions.
