An injury-time winner from Aaron Lennon (pictured) lifted Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-1 home win against Liverpool at White Hart Lane. The game seemed destined for shared points after Luka Modrić had his shot turned into a goal by Martin Skrtel in the 65th minute. Skrtel had scored the Reds’ opener after a scrum in front of goal in the first half. Yet it was Lennon who rescued Spurs and moved them back into fifth place, leapfrogging Bolton. Liverpool slink back to tenth place, dropping below Newcastle after the latter’s draw today against Chelsea.
