Ricardo Fuller (pictured) and Kenwyne Jones scored goals to lead lowly Stoke City past Liverpool, 2-0 at the Britannia Stadium. Liverpool were poor throughout, never really challenging the hard-working Potters. Fuller’s goal came from a scrum in front of goal but Jones’ was true, seeing off the Reds in the 90th minute. Adding insult to injury, Lucas was sent off with his second yellow card in injury-time. The three points bring Stoke all the way to eleventh place, pulling the Potters out of the relegation zone. Liverpool will face further questions as a clearly disappointed Roy Hodgson stared worryingly into the distance with the Stoke faithful chanting ‘Dalglish, Dalglish.’ Liverpool remain in tenth.
