Leicester City have sacked manager Paulo Sousa and replaced him with Sven-Göran Eriksson. The stunning move came after Leicester have won just once from eight games in this young season. Sousa was just hired in July after Nigel Pearson left to take over Hull City. The Foxes finished fifth in last season’s Championship but were ousted from the play-off by Cardiff City in penalties. Now Leicester are in 22nd place, third from bottom, with just eight points from their ten matches. Eriksson becomes the eighteenth manager at the Walkers Stadium since 2000 (including caretakers).

  1. Under, for sure. Theyr’e already six points behind tenth place and there’s no way Sven actually lasts as manager until the end of the season. That’s another over/under for you: weeks at Leicester for Sven. I’d say ten weeks.
