Penalties from Christian Noboa (pictured) and David Villa saw enough tense battle between Rubin Kazan and Barcelona end in a 1-1 draw at the Central Stadium. The two-time defending Russian champions stunningly defeated Barcelona at the Camp Nou in last season’s Champions League before drawing nil-nil in Kazan. The Tatáry get another strong result tonight and greatly enhance a campaign in Group D that started poorly. The Russian side have plenty of work to do yet, but another non-loss to Barcelona is a big step in the right direction.
