An Artjoms Rudņevs (pictured) hat-trick saw Lech Poznań to a 3-3 draw away to Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin. Rudnevs had given the Polish visitors a 2-0 lead on the half-hour, but Juve came storming back behind a Giorgio Chiellini brace and a fine goal from Alessandro Del Piero in the 68th minute. Poznań held on over the final twenty minutes until the 22-year old Latvian blasted the equalizer into the upper left corner deep into injury-time. Obviously a draw in Group A is not the worst result for Juventus, but it does add further troubles to an already difficult start to this season. For Poznań the draw is an inspiring one that gives the Polish champions hope in a difficult group.
