A week off due to Euro 2012 qualifiers has brought an array of injuries, managerial changes and other differences from the last time the Premier League took the pitch back in August. Theo Walcott, Michael Dawson and Jermain Defoe all went down in England matches while Aston Villa have brought in former Liverpool boss Gérard Houllier. Wayne Rooney has suffered his share of blushes after some naughty details were revealed about his life, just in time for his annual return to his boyhood club of Everton.

All the other news aside, the fixture list for Round 4 is an interesting one. Manchester United, as mentioned, will visit Goodison Park and Everton. Top of the table Chelsea will look to run their record to four from four in a trip across town to West Ham United. Bolton Wanderers will play Arsenal at the Emirates, a surprising battle between top-five clubs at the moment. And Stoke City will try to earn their first points of the season in Houllier’s Villa debut at the Britannia Stadium on Monday night.

  1. Saturday:
Manchester United @ Everton – United – Everton not only have 1 point thru the first 3 matches but only 1 goal against suspect opponents.
Bolton @ Arsenal – Arsenal – Nasri may get some time this week but the Verminator will be on the bench. Gunners should hold at home.
Blackburn @ Manchester City – City – City’s offense has been anemic this season aside from the Liverpool match. Close, but Citizens prevail.
Blackpool @ Newcastle – Newcastle – Both teams mirror each other’s results so I’ll go with the home team.
Chelsea @ West Ham – Chelsea – Easy
Wolverhampton @ Fulham – Draw – I like Mick McCarthy and Fulham are trying to be the Man City of 2010 with all the draws.
Tottenham @ West Brom – Spurs – Defoe is gone but Gallas and Van der Vaart are in. Spurs are going to have to learn how to manage a busy schedule with CL.
Sunderland @ Wigan – Sunderland – Suddenly Sunderland has one of the better front lines in the EPL.
    Sunday:
Liverpool @ Birmingham City – Draw – I thought LP may be a little better this season but so far they still seem a bit of a mess.
