Wayne Rooney (pictured) scored a goal for the first time since March and Manchester United cruised to an easy 3-0 victory over West Ham United at Old Trafford. Nani and Dimitar Berbatov rounded out the goals for United as they swept past the hapless Hammers. West Ham join Stoke City as the only club without a win this season, after Wigan’s surprise victory earlier in the day. As for United, they’re no doubt happy that Rooney finally found the net again, even if it was from the spot. Surely Alex Ferguson purposefully chose his star forward for that penalty. The three points also keep last year’s second place finishers in third place, tied on points with Arsenal.
