Arsenal battered hapless and ten-man Blackpool 6-0 at the Emirates in their home debut in North London. Arsenal wore their sharp new home kits while the Seasiders wore a variation of their change kit. The Tangerines wore their home orange socks along with their white change shirts and orange change shorts.

Stoke City fell 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday. Spurs were victorious in their new solid sky blue kits. Stoke wore their regular kits at their home stadium.

St. Andrews saw homestanding Birmingham City take a 2-1 victory from Blackburn Rovers. Brum wore their standard kits while Rovers debuted their fine new red and black change versions.

Peter Odemwingie scored as a West Bromich Albion debutant giving the home side a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Hawthorns. The Baggies brought out their new home kits for the first time. Sunderland wore their standard kits for a strange clash of vertically striped sides.

Johan Elmander and Bolton Wanderers beat up on West Ham United 3-1 at the Boleyn Ground. The Hammers debuted their new Macron-made home kits, forcing the Trotters to slightly alter their standard kits. Bolton wore navy socks instead of their usual whites to contrast with West Ham’s choice.

A late equalizer saw Wolverhampton Wanderers draw Everton 1-1 at Goodison Park. The Toffees got to wear their simple new home kits for the first time this season. Wolves came out in their regular kits as there were standard contrasts already in place.

Saturday’s late game had Chelsea go for six goals for their second consecutive game to open the season winning 6-0 over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium. The Latics were in their weird new kits which meant Chelsea had to debut their black and orange change outfits.

On Sunday, Newcastle United destroyed Aston Villa 6-0 at St. James’ Park. Toon were victorious in their new Puma home kits while Villa foundered in their standard attire.

Fulham and Manchester United drew 2-2 in a very entertaining game at Craven Cottage. Both sides wore their regular kits.

Finally, Monday’s late game saw Manchester City thrash Liverpool at Eastlands, 3-0. Both sides trotted out the latest editions of their home kits.
