Free kick goals from Keisuke Honda and Yasuhito Endo (pictured) send Japan into second place in Group E, good for qualification to the knockout rounds. The 3-1 victory at the expense of Denmark at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg gives the Japanese only their second qualification and first away from home soil. Jon Dahl Tomasson did pull one back for the Danes late on, but Shinji Okazaki scored just two minutes from time to seal the victory and advancement for Japan. The three points for the Japanese are more than enough to send Denmark crashing out of the tournament after winning just one game.
