Dennis Rommedahl (pictured) and Nicklas Bendtner scored goals to bring Denmark back from an early deficit against Cameroon and knock the latter out of the first African World Cup. The 2-1 score at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria keeps Denmark alive in Group E while sending Cameroon out of the tournament before the knockout rounds yet again. Samuel Eto’o scored the goal for the Indomitable Lions but it was not enough to survive. The Danes still need to defeat Japan in their final game to reach the knockout rounds while the Dutch are now guaranteed to advance, at least in second place. This match was probably the worst defensive game from both teams involved, though only three goals made it into the net.
