One season was all Manuel Pellegrini got at the helm of Real Madrid as Florentino Pérez has sacked his manager in order to install Inter’s treble-winning manager José Mourinho at the the Bernabéu. Just four days ago Mourinho lifted the European Cup at the Bernabéu as his Inter side became the first ever Italian treble winners. Now he will take over the ‘new Galacticos’ in the hopes of restoring Real’s power in the world of continental football. Mourinho will also vie to be the first manager to ever win the European Cup with three different clubs, having now done so at Porto and Inter.

  1. As much as I dislike Mourinho’s personality, I think he is a coach that produces. If he were the one who replaces Sir at United, I would feel pretty good about it…maybe he can get the most out of the talent at Madrid.
