Birmingham City today added 6’7″ Serbian international forward Nikola Žigić for £6m and signed him to a four-year deal from Valencia. Žigić spent the past season on loan back at Racing Santander after a disappointing spell with Valencia. Still, the giant forward is 29-years old and an international player who did score 13 goals in just 19 games for Racing. Žigić will feature for Serbia in the World Cup which should raise his profile in England, where he was once a coveted target of Liverpool.
