fa cup

The FA Cup finalists will be determined this weekend when the semi-finals are held at Wembley for the third consecutive time. Each match-up is intriguing though there are no minnows or giant killers left in the field. All four semi-finalists are members of the Premier League, at least this season, three of them coming from the top seven of the top flight. Saturday’s game is interesting because it gives Aston Villa a chance to reach their second cup final of this season. It will come against Chelsea who throttled them 7-1 in their last meeting. The Blues are also the holders of this tournament having won it last year against Everton. Sunday’s game is all about Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp who led Portsmouth to this very title just two years ago. Pompey are going down and are in administration while Spurs are fighting for fourth place, but it’s the central character of Harry who will be the focus of this tie.

Saturday:
Aston Villa v. Chelsea

Sunday:
Tottenham v. Portsmouth
