Manchester City jumped into fourth place with an easy dismantling of Burnley at Turf Moor. The 6-1 scoreline was another rout in favor of the Citizens as they continue to make their case for the 2010/11 Champions League. Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tévez, Craig Bellamy, Vincent Kompany (pictured) and even Patrick Vieira all scored (Adebayor twice) to power City to six goals in the first hour of the match. Only Steven Fletcher’s 71st minute goal gave the Clarets any representation on the final scoreline. So City now move past Spurs who lost today at Sunderland. City are only a point ahead but are now finally on equal games as the rest of their competition. The final six weeks will determine who makes it into the Champions League and who is stuck in the Europa League. Burnley remain in the relegation zone and each week look more like the worst team in the league.
