Substitute Theo Walcott (pictured) sparked an amazing comeback for Arsenal in what ended up being a 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Emirates. Two Zlatan Ibrahimović goals had put the visitors in clear command of the match and the tie with two away goals. But Walcott reenergized the Gunners and scored the first goal for the home side in the 69th minute. An 85th minute red card for Carlos Puyol gave Arsenal a penalty and Cesc Fàbregas buried it from the spot to draw the game even in stunning circumstances. Fàbregas, Puyol and Gerard Piqué will all miss the second leg with suspension so the 2-2 draw became even more important today. Barcelona will still clearly hold the advantage in returning to the Camp Nou next week with their two away goals. But an away victory by Arsenal of any score sees them back into the semi-finals.

  1. That might have been my favorite match of all-time. What balls of Wenger to bring on Walcott even though he’s been pretty shite this season. He was the difference late. Still stunned that Barcelona didn’t score in the first half though. That game should’ve been over real early.
