Only eight clubs remain in the Champions League and their fates were determined as the quarterfinal draw took place earlier today. The ties that will begin on March 30/31 set up the possibility of a Manchester United-Barcelona rematch in the final. At least on paper, United were given the easier road to the final in Madrid though obviously at this stage, no tie will be easy. The second legs of the quarterfinals will take place April 6/7 with the semi-finals kicking off April 20/21. The one unfortunately result of the draw is that both French sides will play each other, limiting the semi-finals to just one such club. Of course that does guarantee a French side in the semi-finals for the first time since 2004.
