Crystal Palace continue to defy their financial standing with a surprising 2-2 draw with Aston Villa at Selhurst Park. Johannes Ertl and Darren Ambrose (pictured) twice gave Palace the lead at home but Villa were able to equalize on both occasions through James Collins in the first half and Stiliyan Petrov just three minutes from time. Still, Championship struggles Palace have gone into administration and have sold their top asset (Victor Moses) yet remain competitive in the FA Cup. The replay will come at Villa Park though, where the home side will have a decided advantage.

Sunday’s other FA Cup fifth round tie was far less exciting as Fulham roughed up Notts County 4-0 at Craven Cottage. Simon Davies, Bobby Zamora, Damien Duff and new boy Stefano Okaka all scored in the rout of the League Two side.
